British speed-dating is a unique approach of meeting someone in a same speed-dating event. This study objective was to understand the effectiveness of the British speed-dating method. One mechanism was implemented, where participants were divided into separate groups to meet people of the opposite gender, for 200 minutes. Pre- and post-experience questionnaires was designed to measure the behaviour of the participants before and after the speed-dating session. 21 people from the age group of 18-30 years participated in the study. After the speed-dating session, the experience was rated as better and better and the ratings were consistent with the levels of effective communication, confidence and social competence of the people. The results have highlighted that it is better to meet people through a different approach than face-to-face, which could lead to new and different relationships. As the relationships changed after the speed-dating session, the participants reported that they were likely to use the speed-dating method more often and to meet different people 7211a4ac4a
